The Great Pyramid: built using an internal ramp?   1 comment

I saw something interesting on YouTube recently: an architect named Jean-Pierre Houdin has come up with a new theory about the how the Great Pyramid was constructed.  Houdin’s father, a civil engineer, suggested that it could have been built from the inside out.  Houdin then spent years working on this theory, which claims there is an internal ramp concealed within the pyramid, and the the Grand Gallery, the purpose of which has been a mystery, was part of a counterweight system used to lift the huge granite blocks used to construct the King’s Chamber.  In the documentary Houdin and Egyptologist Bob Brier go to the Great Pyramid and find evidence to support Houdin’s theories.

We must fully investigate the outside of the south face. Strabo is not lying. We have not actually found the way into the guts of the Pyramid.
