Mont Saint-Michel   Leave a comment

Mont Saint-Michel is a tidal island off the coast of Normandy in France.  It’s named after a monastery which has existed there since the eighth century.  It was the inspiration for the city of Minas Tirith in the Lord of the Rings films and the castle in Tangled.
